PAC-12 CHINA GAME - HARVARD VS. STANFORD

The 3 Point crew made a return trip to Shanghai, coming off NBA Global Games the month before, for their debut at the Pac-12 China Game. With full oversight and production management of game presentation, we developed a show that would provide a spirited collegiate atmosphere, along with highlights of American sports entertainment combined with an influence of local tradition and ceremony. The result was a production the Pac-12 was very pleased with in their second annual season opener, this year featuring Stanford and Harvard, overseas in Shanghai. 

CBS SPORTS CLASSIC

T-Mobile Arena | Las Vegas, NV | December 2016

The CBS Sports Classic entered its third year as a rotational site college basketball doubleheader, this time heading to Las Vegas. KemperLesnik had built the hoops powerhouse event – featuring Kentucky, North Carolina, UCLA and Ohio State – and now put an emphasis on enhancing the fan experience. We added an In-Arena Host to the mix and put a lot of creative effort into designing contests and promotions focused on the fan bases and the holiday season. The fans fed off the entertainment, with favorites being the school trivia contests, the Rivalry Seat Upgrade and of course, Mistletoe Cam.

GONZAGA'S BATTLE IN SEATTLE

It was a banner year for Gonzaga’s Battle in Seattle, with the Tennessee Volunteers becoming the first return opponent after playing in the 2007 edition of the Zags game in the Emerald City. The highly-anticipated matchup generated a record attendance of 16,770, setting a Washington state attendance record for a regular season college basketball game (surpassing the 2010 Battle in Seattle). 3PT once again provided game operations and production support at KeyArena for the Gonzaga athletics department.

In 2014, Gonzaga University assumed ownership of their annual neutral-site game in Seattle, an event that 3PT staff has been involved with since its inception over a decade ago. With 3PT's strong background in game operations logistical planning and a bevy of experience at KeyArena, Gonzaga was able to focus their efforts on ticket sales and enhancing their brand presence in Seattle, knowing the operational details for the game were being handled by our team of experts.

With a basketball program rich with success and tradition, UW Head Coach Lorenzo Romar had a vision of hosting all of the past Huskies under one roof and showing the strength of the program over the years.  We took this vision and made it a reality with our creativity and production elements.  Through a well-developed social media strategy, the 10,000 seat arena sold out and #UWAlumniGame trended nationally on Twitter.  The day featured two exhibition games, a 3-Point Contest and a Slam Dunk Contest.  NBA players past and present participated, including Brandon Roy, Nate Robinson, Isaiah Thomas, Spencer Hawes, Terrence Ross and Eldridge Recasner.  It was truly one of the most memorable moments in Seattle sports in 2013.

WICHITA WILDCAT CLASSIC

In 2011, K-State and Idol Sports established a neutral-site game in Wichita, Kansas.  The inaugural matchup featured the return of former Wildcat coach Bob Huggins and West Virginia to face his one-time assistant, Frank Martin and the K-State Wildcats.  With 3PT producing the show, the fans were treated to a double-OT thriller in a sold-out house on ESPN's national broadcast.  K-State returned to Wichita in 2013, this time under the helm of Bruce Weber, and avenged their loss to Gonzaga in the 2012 Battle in Seattle with a victory over the Zags.

MIZZOU VS. HAWAII

In 2013, the University of Missouri made their first return to the Kansas City market since leaving the Big 12 for the SEC.  Alongside Idol Sports, we produced game operations and entertainment in the state-of-the-art Sprint Center, creating a homecourt advantage and highlighting a multitude of Mizzou traditions, while creating some new interactive elements, such as the “Tiger Roar Cam”.

Gonzaga University’s annual neutral-site game in Seattle always brings great basketball to the Emerald City.  We worked for several years with Idol Sports to spearhead game operations and entertainment, from back-of-house logistics to producing the game presentation.  In 2013, the Zags topped South Alabama for their 3rd consecutive win in the Battle.

USS Yorktown | Charleston, SC | November 2012

The Carrier Classic was one of the most unique sporting events of the year.  Morale Entertainment hosted the event to show appreciation to military personnel and raise money for the Wounded Warrior Foundation.  A 4,000 seat basketball arena was built on the USS Yorktown and we produced two college basketball games on the deck of the retired aircraft carrier.  Ohio State, Marquette and Notre Dame wore themed uniforms and treated the fans in attendance to a night they soon won’t forget. 

BATTLE IN SEATTLE

2012 marked the 10th Anniversary of the Battle in Seattle with a matchup of Gonzaga and the K-State Wildcats. 3PT produced a show that was themed around the anniversary celebration, complete with a “Top 10 moments” countdown featured at timeouts over the course of the game, culminating with a live recognition of Zags legend Adam Morrison. The two-game neutral site series between the team would be completed at the 2013 Wichita Wildcat Classic.

Similar to the Battle in Seattle, Washington State hosts an annual neutral-site game at Seattle’s KeyArena and 3PT works closely with the university and Idol Sports to produce game operations and entertainment. 3PT staff has been involved for the majority of the games in the eight-year history of the event, with opponents that include Utah, LSU and San Diego State, along with future NBA stars like Klay Thompson and Kyle Weaver.

The 2011 Battle in Seattle was a stellar matchup with the Gonzaga Bulldogs and Arizona Wildcats. The Zags posted a strong showing with a 71-60 win and started a winning streak that has extended into five straight in their annual Seattle game.

LUMBERJACK CLASSIC

In a nationally televised matchup between BYU and Northern Arizona, 3PT added a new venue to our event experience in a marketplace that is heavy with alumni bases from both universities. Working side-by-side with Idol Sports, we produced the game operations and entertainment in what was the first matchup between the schools since 1946.

BC BASKETBALL CLASSIC

In the first NCAA regular season basketball game in British Columbia since 1990, Gonzaga and Hawaii matched up in what was a homecoming for Zags big man (and current NBA player) Robert Sacre.  In our first event “north of the border”, 3PT teamed up with Idol in a familiar role to produce game operations and entertainment.
