3 Point Productions Partners with NACMA to Evolve Collegiate Fan Experience

3PT brings unique expertise and industry insights to assist college athletic departments

(March 27, 2015) SEATTLE – In support of the ongoing evolution of the fan experience, 3 Point Productions (3ptproductions.com), a Seattle-based sports and entertainment production company, has announced its partnership with the National Association of Collegiate Marketing Administrators (NACMA). Highlighted at the NACMA Convention in Orlando on June 14-17, 3 Point Productions (3PT) will provide year-round support and insights about all aspects of the fan experience to NACMA and its members.

“The landscape and expectations of the fan experience are changing rapidly throughout college sports, so now is the time as an industry we must come together to be creative, share best practices, and keep student bodies and alumni engaged,” said Patrick Walker, President and Co-Founder of 3PT. “We’re proud to support NACMA, whom we consider to be the hub of innovation in this industry, to help improve and expand a fan’s game day experience with the school they love.”

3PT’s Consulting practice assists colleges and universities to unite and excite their fan base through game production guidance that incorporates new stadium technologies and integrates sponsor activation to highlight university heritage, enhance traditions and provide an innovative entertainment platform.

“The 3 Point Productions team brings a much needed expertise in the fan experience to our organization,” said Eric Nichols, NACMA President and Associate Athletics Director and Chief Marketing Officer, University of South Carolina. “Their support and knowledge will be key to help other partners and members recognize and respond to the changing demands from today’s fan base.”

Recent 3PT collegiate projects include the production of events during NCAA Basketball Final Four weekend, production of neutral-site college basketball and hockey games including the “Carrier Classic”, “Battle in Seattle” and “Hockey City Classic”, consultation with the University of Washington on Football, Men’s Basketball, and Baseball game production.

“We believe a united fan base can impact the outcome of games, boost school pride and increase attendance while impressing recruits and building loyalty,” added Walker. “The forums created through NACMA can help address challenges and move our entire industry forward, ultimately to the benefit of fans.”
